RETURN TO SELF
WINTER DAY RETREAT
A whole day to put things down.
To step out of the noise of everyday life.
To be held for a while instead of holding everything together.
Gather with other women, reconnect with your body, create, receive, rest...
and come back to you.
Sunday 15th November · 10AM–4PM · Whistlewood Common, Melbourne, Derbyshire
£99

What if, for one whole day, you didn't have to be anywhere else?
No rushing onto the next thing.
No one needing something from you.
No list of things you should be doing.
Just space.
As winter invites the world outside to slow down, I'm inviting you to do the same.
We'll gather in the warmth of a cosy cob house for a day of connection, creativity, movement, receiving and deep rest.
Not because you need fixing.
But because sometimes we need enough space away from the noise to hear ourselves again.
And sometimes being looked after for a while is medicine in itself.
A day designed to be experienced slowly.
We'll begin by gathering together with tea, grounding and an opening circle.
From there, we'll move through seasonal reflection and journalling, a weaving creative practice, nourishing lunch, body connection, self-care, asking & receiving practice and a deeply restful sound bath.
There'll be time to talk.
Time to create.
Time to nourish.
Time to receive.
And time to do absolutely nothing!
Everything is an invitation. Partner practices are always optional, and there will be ways to explore receiving through self-care too.
You get to choose what feels right for you.

This day is for you if...
You're craving some space that's actually for you.
You've been giving a lot and would quite like to receive for a change.
You want meaningful connection with other women.
You want to slow down, reconnect with your body and hear yourself a little more clearly.
Or maybe something in you has simply gone...
Yes.... YES!.. I need a day like that.
Come alone or come with someone you love.
Come exactly as you are.
Your day includes...
Opening & closing women's circles
Seasonal reflection & journalling
Creative weaving session with optional singing
Gentle movement & body connection
Asking & receiving / self-care practices
Sound bath
Nourishing, Seasonal Lunch & Snacks
Tea & refreshments

Meet Your Hosts

Hello, I’m Ferne.
An unschooling mother of three, space holder, sound healer and women's empowerment coach.
My work is rooted in self-trust, sovereignty and connection to the body. I believe there is so much wisdom within us when we create enough space to actually hear it. I support women to come back to themselves, beneath the roles, expectations and all the ways we learn to shape ourselves for the world around us. I help women express themselves more fully, follow their curiosity and create lives that genuinely feel like their own.
I love creating spaces that feel nurturing and safe enough to soften into, while still inviting us to gently meet our edges. There is something incredibly powerful about women gathering together. Being witnessed, sharing honestly, laughing, moving, creating and remembering that we don’t have to do all of this alone.
Personally, I struggle with winter and the slowing down, so a winter retreat day devoted to slowing down, tending to ourselves and being together feels very special to me. I can’t wait to welcome you in and share this day with you.

Hello, I'm Chenma.
I’m a doula and unschooling mama of two who loves creating spaces for women to be truly nourished, held, heard and honoured. My work is rooted in our sacred cycles and rites of passage, supporting the transitions we face in womanhood, particularly in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
I deeply feel the importance of claiming our sovereignty; moving away from any external expectations and approval and instead learning to listen deep within, to find our own personal truth, trust our intuition, and celebrate our creative power. I see the difference that sharing, processing, integrating and celebrating together creates, and I hope you will leave with a true sense of belonging!
It’s impossible to ignore how the natural world plays such a vital role in my own and others’ journeys, and I’m committed to creating spaces that are in harmony with the earths seasons and cycles. I love creating seasonal dishes with locally grown and foraged ingredients, and I look forward to sharing that love with all of you!
